wait…just wait

Psalm 27:14 NIV

Wait for the Lord ;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord .

Have you ever had to wait? Ask for something and had to wait to get it? Did you enjoy it? I have to be honest…I do not like to wait…such a downfall for me. I have come to learn that my test is patience, and I don’t have a lot of that it seems. Hmmm…( since this is my test, how am I going to explain this to the drama team during Bible study hmm)

Have you ever asked God for something, and maybe expect it then. I have, and I still do…I have had a need before God for four years now. I have longed, prayed, cried, fasted, stood in prayer lines, received spoken prophesy, and put action behind my faith, and yet I wait. It’s been so hard not to give up. I do have to admit, I have gotten down hearted before. Sometimes I have to remind myself not to question God, that all comes in His timing.

I want to encourage you today to not give up. Hold on to that request you have before the Lord. To press on and cling to your prayers. It may seem like its taking forever or that God has forgotten. He hasn’t and just when your about to give up, the blessing or answer is right around the corner!

Keep waiting!

God Bless You,
Amanda

words are a honeycomb

Actions may speak louder than words, but words are still important.

Speak kind, true, and helpful words to others today.

Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones ~ Proverbs 16:24

Have a blessed day!

we will bow

image

Romans 14:11 KJV

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

What an honor it will be to bow before the King of Kings. The Author and Finisher of our faith. Our Creator….our God!

upon which stone are you built

Acts 4:11-12 NIV

Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

I ask a simple question today…
Upon which stone are you built?

out of our mouths

James 3:9-10 NIV

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.

This was a slap in the face kinda verse for me this morning!

How is it we can up lift those when they need encouragement, but bring them down when they don’t act or do the things we think they should. How can bring such hurt?!

Let us try to control this mouth of ours, and uplift more than we curse!

Be a blessing today!

God Bless!

all things are possible

Jesus looked at them and said,”With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God”-Mark 10:27 NIV

I love this scripture. It reminds me that nothing is impossible with God. He can do ALL things. sometimes our “faithwalk” gets dim. We get tired, and feel that the mountains just won’t move no matter how much we pray and believe. Just keep believing and holding on to His unfailing hand. Remember nothing is to big for Him. He will move!

If you are facing something, and you just don’t think you make the “cut” or you don’t think that you are able to do the task, job, or whatever it be, remember you can “face the giants” knowing nothing is to big for our God!! There are days when man comes along and knocks you off your feet or your path, saying you aren’t good enough, or you can’t do this or that. Remember that you can not please man, but remember where your faith lies. It lies in the hands of the ONE who is and who can!

God is stronger than superman!

I have taken a much-needed break from blogging. I needed to spend some time searching my soul and spending time with my daughter. I have been given a new direction in my life and I am excited to share and start it. I hope you all have been well, and know I haven’t forgotten, I just needed to step back and reevaluate what I hold most dear. Thank you all for the prayers, and I have missed you all and prayed for you too!

God Bless and have a wonderful day!

a clean heart

A heart longing to change gets God attention.

When David cried out to Him to change his heart, God’s Spirit was already there, pouring out grace and mercy.

Come to Him when you are in need of a clean heart. Don’t be discouraged or embarrassed – He will not condemn you. Simply ask for His forgiveness and give Him all the sinful and ugly things that have stained your soul. and when you do, He will wash you clean and give you a fresh start. God has the ability to wash us all anew!

Whatever you have done in your lives, God can help you. Offer Him your sin and shame and let Him cleanse you.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit from me-Psalms 51:10

YOU can do all things

Have you ever felt like you couldn’t do something? Felt like you wouldn’t make it through a trial or a test? Maybe it was a test of patience, or maybe a school assignment. I’ve felt like that many times. I’m actually going through it now, my own test of patience.

But I have an answer for all that down heartedness! We CAN!

For the Bible tells us, I can do All things through Christ which strengthens me~ Philippians 4:13.

So I want to encourage you today to know that you can make it, you can face it, that crowd, that test, that assignment, whatever it is, we will get our strength, from the one who bore it all for you and me!

Have a blessed day!

pour out

The woman broke her jar and poured out all of her perfume. She lavishly wasted everything that was of value to her. Breaking her jar effectively eliminated any chance of keeping any for her own use, then or later. She gave everything she had-past, present, and future-to Him. Jesus said that people would remember her remarkable love forever.

Then at the last supper, those same words appeared again. He broke His body and poured out His blood for us. He was beckoning us to do what He did: be broken and poured out. Go all in. Hold nothing in reserve. Completely relinquish control. That’s what truly commemorate what Jesus did. Not cherishing a ritual, but being a memorial.

I ask you, are you giving Him all you have today our just saving Him for a certain occasion or problem. God doesn’t want you to just come when you have problems, He wants you to come to Him everyday. Just like the woman who anointed Jesus’s feet, we can touch Him. Pour out your life to Him and surrender all! That’s why Jesus died. He came to pour out His life for us .

What should “broken and poured out” look like in your life?
