wait…just wait

Psalm 27:14 NIV

Wait for the Lord ;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord .

Have you ever had to wait? Ask for something and had to wait to get it? Did you enjoy it? I have to be honest…I do not like to wait…such a downfall for me. I have come to learn that my test is patience, and I don’t have a lot of that it seems. Hmmm…( since this is my test, how am I going to explain this to the drama team during Bible study hmm)

Have you ever asked God for something, and maybe expect it then. I have, and I still do…I have had a need before God for four years now. I have longed, prayed, cried, fasted, stood in prayer lines, received spoken prophesy, and put action behind my faith, and yet I wait. It’s been so hard not to give up. I do have to admit, I have gotten down hearted before. Sometimes I have to remind myself not to question God, that all comes in His timing.

I want to encourage you today to not give up. Hold on to that request you have before the Lord. To press on and cling to your prayers. It may seem like its taking forever or that God has forgotten. He hasn’t and just when your about to give up, the blessing or answer is right around the corner!

Keep waiting!

God Bless You,
Amanda

all things are possible

Jesus looked at them and said,”With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God”-Mark 10:27 NIV

I love this scripture. It reminds me that nothing is impossible with God. He can do ALL things. sometimes our “faithwalk” gets dim. We get tired, and feel that the mountains just won’t move no matter how much we pray and believe. Just keep believing and holding on to His unfailing hand. Remember nothing is to big for Him. He will move!

If you are facing something, and you just don’t think you make the “cut” or you don’t think that you are able to do the task, job, or whatever it be, remember you can “face the giants” knowing nothing is to big for our God!! There are days when man comes along and knocks you off your feet or your path, saying you aren’t good enough, or you can’t do this or that. Remember that you can not please man, but remember where your faith lies. It lies in the hands of the ONE who is and who can!

God is stronger than superman!

I have taken a much-needed break from blogging. I needed to spend some time searching my soul and spending time with my daughter. I have been given a new direction in my life and I am excited to share and start it. I hope you all have been well, and know I haven’t forgotten, I just needed to step back and reevaluate what I hold most dear. Thank you all for the prayers, and I have missed you all and prayed for you too!

God Bless and have a wonderful day!

do you have Faith?

The Bible makes a pretty bold statement when it says this:

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and he is a rewarded of them that diligently seek him~ Hebrews 11:6

So I asked myself that same question..” Do I have faith?”….answer is YES!

I know its so hard to have faith on something that we don’t see or find it hard to believe, but we believe and see with our spirit, our heart. God is all around us and without Him, it really is impossible to do anything. I have found this out the hard way. Life without Him has no direction and will lead to destruction. Yet, with our faith comes growth and strongness, and God will reward those that continually seek after Him!

So I ask you today…Do you have Faith?

ponderings….

Sobering words of Life: When we live, pray, and mean from our heart,”Not my will, thine be done,” we demonstrate that the spirit of Jesus lives within us. Jesus came to show us the way to the Father-He Himself told us, “those who desire to follow me, must pick up their cross and follow me”. Living this wholeheartedly, demonstrates a real relationship with Jesus to our children, spouses, and those around us, the way to our Heavenly Father.

Note: He never said it would be easy, popular, or without persecution. He encouraged us to take heart. He overcame the world and He is with us always, even to the ends of the Earth. We are never alone!

Just wanted to send some encouragment!

Faith Drops

The BIBLE is God’s love story for you, and every time you read it, allow it to unfold in your heart as a love letter written by God to you. In just such a light of open expectation, the revelation of His love and His plan for you will jump off the pages and into your life every time you turn the pages of the GREATEST Love Story Ever Told!!

In His book, He has written 66 of the most beautiful love letters ever told. Only God can write a love letter so moving, so uplifting, so full of encouragement, and full of instruction. He tells us that NOTHING will ever separate the love that He has for us. That if it does, it’s because we have allowed sin to separate us from Him.

Become lost in the word, find love in His letters, and you will never be the same again!

My Brother and his beautiful baby girl Braelynn

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.-Philippians 4:4

The Lord had been dealing with me for quite some time about being truly thankful for what I had. After my family was given the task of helping some families in need, I was really troubled about what I took for granted. All of the small things that we think will always be there…Air, Water, Food, Clothing, Shelter. I am so guilty in always thinking that I would have those things, that it never really hit me until that very moment. So I decided to be especially thankful this season, but I never knew the true reason until now.

My brother was hurt in a logging accident on November 12, 2011. The first thought that came to me when I seen him on that stretcher was, ” He’s Dead!”. My stomach hit the floor and everything that I hold true to myself, I pushed in the back of my mind. All I could see at that moment was my only brother hurt and fighting for his life. They had to transport him to another hospital, and it seemed like hours before we heard anything. When my dad finally got to the hospital, all of my family, our friends, and church family, gathered together, holding hands, called out to the Almighty God. We plead for Mikie’s life and the almighty healing that only He can give. When my parents returned from talking with doctors, we were told that my brother had a broke pelvis, a severed bladder, and would have to wear a tube for up to a year. He wouldn’t be able to walk or do much of anything until his pelvis healed. After that, he would go through physical therapy and home health until he was up and his usual self. Now, if anyone knows my brother, they know that he is never still, and when I finally got to see him, it broke me. I couldn’t stand to see him just lying there helpless, screaming because of the pain. I just wanted to take it all away from him. We had everyone on Earth praying it seemed, because God moved. I know that we all touched the throne of Heaven that night….for my brother didn’t have to have surgery!! Oh, how I praise you God in Heaven!!

So as I sit and think of what I am truly thankful for, I am thankful that not only is there a God in Heaven that hears our prayers, but that my prayer is coming home today!!

So again, I will REJOICE!!

Faith Drops

I got an email the other day that really caught my attention. It was a handy little chart that had scripture on it. It was a list of the things or excuses we say to God and his responses. The more that I read, the more I realized I have/had said the same things to God. So many times I have told the LORD, “I can’t do this”, or “I just can’t go on”. When if I would have just held/hold on to His Word, it would tell me that I can hold on and I can make it through anything. There have been times I’ve wondered where God is or if He still cares, but that was just Satan whispering ugly nothings in my ear. I DO NOT listen to those anymore. God is with us every day. He is NOT dead NOR does HE sleep! His eyes roam all over watching us, protecting us, loving us each and every moment of every day.

If you are ever in need of needing reassurance or just that uplifting word, look toward these promises and know that God is right there.

You say: “It’s impossible”
God says: All things are possible.
And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.-Luke 18:27

You say: “I’m too tired”
God says: I will give you rest
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.-Matthew 11:28-30

You say: “Nobody really loves me”
God says: I LOVE you
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not parish, but have everlasting life.-John 3:16

You say: “I can’t go on”
God says: My grace is sufficient
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.-II Corinthians 12:9

You say: “I can’t figure things out”
God says: I will direct your steps
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they paths.-Proverbs 3:5-6

You say: “I can’t do it”
God says: You can do all things
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.-Philipians 4:13

You say: “I’m not able”
God says: I am able
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:-II Corinthians 9:8

You say: “It’s not worth it”
God says: It will be worth it
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.-Romans 8:28

You say: “I can’t forgive myself”
God says: I forgive you
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness-I John 1:9

You say: “I can’t manage”
God says: I will supply all your needs
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.-Philippians 4:19

You say: “I’m afraid”
God says: I have not given you a spirit of fear
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.-II Timothy 1:7

You say: “I am always worried and frustrated”
God says: Cast all your cares on ME
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.-I Peter 5:7

You say: “I’m not smart enough”
God says: I give you wisdom
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.-I Corinthians 1:30

You say: “I feel all alone”
God says: I will never leave you or forsake you
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.-Hebrews 13:5

I truly hope that these help. As I was reading all these scriptures, I couldn’t help but feel reassured and safe, knowing that when I feel alone, afraid, or worried, God is always with me. And He will NEVER leave.

Sending prayers and blessings,
Amanda
