wait…just wait
Psalm 27:14 NIV
Wait for the Lord ;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord .
Have you ever had to wait? Ask for something and had to wait to get it? Did you enjoy it? I have to be honest…I do not like to wait…such a downfall for me. I have come to learn that my test is patience, and I don’t have a lot of that it seems. Hmmm…( since this is my test, how am I going to explain this to the drama team during Bible study hmm)
Have you ever asked God for something, and maybe expect it then. I have, and I still do…I have had a need before God for four years now. I have longed, prayed, cried, fasted, stood in prayer lines, received spoken prophesy, and put action behind my faith, and yet I wait. It’s been so hard not to give up. I do have to admit, I have gotten down hearted before. Sometimes I have to remind myself not to question God, that all comes in His timing.
I want to encourage you today to not give up. Hold on to that request you have before the Lord. To press on and cling to your prayers. It may seem like its taking forever or that God has forgotten. He hasn’t and just when your about to give up, the blessing or answer is right around the corner!
Keep waiting!
God Bless You,
Amanda

seasoned with salt and grace
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.~ Colossians 4:5-6 NIV
The Bible is full of instruction to how we are to act towards each other. It gives us wisdom on how to go about each and every day, living each day to speak to others and celebrate God.
So coming across this verse, it was a big eye opener to me. Though I have it on our Contact Us page I have to be honest, I haven’t given it much attention. As I came across it today. I stopped and did some thinking. My number one goal on earth is to lead someone to God. This is what we are called to do. I like to think of us a seed starters. Farmers if you will, carrying around a bag that says ” seed starter” and sprinkle it into people’s lives, like we would Miracle Grow on our gardens. We drop some seed starter and let God take over!
The thing is, is how do we act around others, our words and actions speak volumes about our character. As I pondered on about this, I thought of how might my words and actions speak to others. How is my tone….my words??? Are they really seasoned with salt and full of grace? Am I winning souls to God’s Kingdom? If I’m going to be honest and grade myself…I would give myself a big fat“F”!! No they haven’t been. We are the light of the world….that city on a hill as the Bible speaks of ( see Matthew 5:14).
If we are ever going to lead people to Christ, it needs to start with clean hearts, following God’s Will, and speak with words seasoned with salt and full of grace! We need to make every opportunity count to witness, we need to keep check on our words. The Bible says we destroy neighbors with our words ( see Proverbs 11:9). We need to speak with wisdom, grace, season them with salt and love. Speak as though as you are speaking to Christ!
So as I see that I have major work to do with my own self, how about you?
Are you and your words seasoned with salt and full of grace?
God Bless,
Amanda

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Psalms 90:14

Freedom Service
This past weekend was my church’s Freedom Service. We have this service once a year at Cove Lake Park. We celebrate the freedom found in God. We have singing, preaching, Motions of Grace performs (our church’s drama team) and then serve up some yummy good food after God has led the way!
This year, we focused on God not being dead, but He’s alive. As the song goes…He’s living on the inside roaring like a lion!
We had some special guests with us this year. The Word of God Ministries Church was with us, preaching and singing and just joining in on the fellowship. The message was about being still and hearing, listening to God’s voice….
Won’t you be still and hear the lion roar?
Have a wonderful blessed day!

upon which stone are you built
Acts 4:11-12 NIV
Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
I ask a simple question today…
Upon which stone are you built?
this is love
1 John 4:9 NIV
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
As I read this, I thought about how many of us would actually send our children to die for someone..I know as a mother, I couldn’t or wouldn’t for that matter.
We are so blessed that God loves us enough to send His only son, to die for a world that was lost….to die for you and for me so we can be saved. To have Him live in us and to live with Him, when He calls us home.
Praise be to our Savior! Oh how He loves us!
Now that’s love!
Have a wonderful blessed love~ filled weekend.

are you a peaceful sower
James 3:18 NIV
Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
I came across this verse and I was reminded of a message my dad preached earlier this year.
He preached on how you can sow different types of seed, and reap different kinds of harvest. I remember thinking of what kind of sower I am. “Do I sow good seed, am I producing good fruit?”
Reading this verse reinforces my dads message. To reap good fruit, we must sow and work good seed.
So I ask you, are you sowing seeds of goodness and peace? What type of harvest will you reap?
And a personal note……
Today, is that great man of God’s birthday. Happy Birthday Dad! I am blessed beyond belief to have you as a father! I love you!

out of our mouths
James 3:9-10 NIV
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
This was a slap in the face kinda verse for me this morning!
How is it we can up lift those when they need encouragement, but bring them down when they don’t act or do the things we think they should. How can bring such hurt?!
Let us try to control this mouth of ours, and uplift more than we curse!
Be a blessing today!
God Bless!

Congratulations…my love
I don’t normally talk about myself or my daughter, but I must give her
honor.
A special day hit our house on May 24th. My Raegan graduatedĀ from kindergarten! I have been one proud momma!!
It tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:1
To every thing there is a season, a time to every purpose under the heavens.
I give her honor for the hard work she has done and I couldn’t be more proud! This is the season for completing of another school year!
I know this isn’t my usual post, but I just had to share.
God Bless you and your graduates, no matter what the grade!
Amanda
Look out first grade here we come!
