This past weekend was my church’s Freedom Service. We have this service once a year at Cove Lake Park. We celebrate the freedom found in God. We have singing, preaching, Motions of Grace performs (our church’s drama team) and then serve up some yummy good food after God has led the way!
This year, we focused on God not being dead, but He’s alive. As the song goes…He’s living on the inside roaring like a lion!
We had some special guests with us this year. The Word of God Ministries Church was with us, preaching and singing and just joining in on the fellowship. The message was about being still and hearing, listening to God’s voice….
Won’t you be still and hear the lion roar?

I have always thought what better to worship our God than out in his creation. Truly the times where I feel the closest to him are the times where it is out in nature. I know that God is everywhere however sometimes the best ways to worship him are when we are away from all things that can be a distraction.
